Improve your Organisational Change process:
Learning & Development Forum from QA-IQ
27 September, 2007
Is
your organisation in the middle of a major change
initiative? As a senior L&D professional, are you
creating an environment in which the performance you need can
emerge? Do you want to learn from other professionals who
are engaged in the same challenges? The latest
complimentary Learning & Development Forum from QA-IQ will
give you an insight into emerging best practice in
organisational change management and provide tangible examples
of what works and what doesn’t work on the ground during large
scale change programmes.
Taking place on Wednesday 17 October at the Law Society in
London, ‘Making Change Happen’ will explore a range of Change
Management methods and approaches, and includes an overview of
how Unilever managed several challenges to achieve fundamental
organisational change.
Director of Learning Development at QA-IQ
Brian Sutton, explains; “Change is the order of the day
– all projects and programmes deliver organisational change to
a greater or lesser extent. As senior managers our job is
to bring about change yet most of us are inadequately equipped
to ensure that our change initiatives really deliver the
lasting benefits that we expect and require. This seminar
will point to the critical points of leverage that you need to
focus upon to ensure that your change initiative delivers
lasting benefit.”
“We are bringing together experienced change management
consultants to help you understand how to make change within
your organisation a positive force. Senior L&D
professionals, change management specialists and business
managers will gain from this opportunity to share their
knowledge and learn from the experiences of others.”
The Forum includes:
• Persistence and Perseverance:
Tales from the front: How do you keep everybody ‘on board’
during change? This session explores the critical role of
Stakeholder Management. Through sharing experiences of
change at Unilever, guest speaker Helen Toogood will examine
how an organisation can move forward during conditions of
uncertainty and explores some of the risks involved with
Stakeholder Management
– Helen Toogood, VP New Ways of Working, Unilever
• Group Discussion: What does change mean
for your organisation? Through group activities and
facilitated discussion, you will explore the characteristics of
change and learn about techniques to encourage your people to
work with change, not against it
• Building the Environment for
Success: Creating the formal process for change is
straightforward. The challenge lies in our engagement
with the informal processes i.e. how people in your
organisation behave and interact with each other in the new
environment. This session addresses the importance of
sponsorship and aligning people to change. It will
explore a method that will help you build a positive
environment for change
